NVIDIA Readies New Ada GPU SKUs For GeForce RTX 4070, 4060 Ti & 4060 Graphics Cards

NVIDIA is reportedly preparing new Ada GPU variants for its GeForce RTX 4070, RTX 4060 Ti & RTX 4060 graphics cards.

According to MEGAsizeGPU, NVIDIA is possibly preparing three new Ada GPU SKUs for three of its graphics cards which cover the mainstream and high-end segment. These include the GeForce RTX 4070, RTX 4060 Ti, and the RTX 4060. The three SKUs include:

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 currently features the AD104-251 GPU & will also soon be available with a brand new GPU SKU, the AD103-175KX. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti will be available in the current AD106-351 and the new AD104-150-KX flavors while the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 will be available in the current AD107-400 and the new AD106-255 flavors.

Interestingly, the AD103-175-KX variant is the same Ada GPU that was also listed for the RTX 4070 SUPER back when we reported leaked specifications.

Now there are no indications made that these GPU SKUs will offer any changes in specs and it does seem very unlikely since the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER already exists as an upgrade to the RTX 4070 and that comes with the AD104 GPU. What's most likely happening here is that NVIDIA is reutilizing the higher-end dies that didn't cut it for their particular graphics card variant and putting them on lower-tier SKUs where they can be used instead of going to waste. NVIDIA has done this with other GPUs too in the past.

It is also reported that the graphics cards equipped with these new Ada GPU SKUs will be available starting this month. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 will be the first to show up with the new SKUs & the RTX 4060 Ti / RTX 4060 will follow up next month. NVIDIA's latest GeForce Game Ready 551.86 driver already has support for these new GPU SKUs so gamers will have no trouble when it comes to support. We can also expect manufacturers to update their product pages, mentioning the new SKUs soon too.
