Bungie is celebrating Destiny's 10th anniversary with a series of in-game events and rewards. Most notably, the publisher is teaming up with Nerf to launch a special edition blaster.
The blaster, dubbed the Nerf Lmtd Destiny 2 Ace of Spades Blaster can be obtained via Bungie Rewards through two methods. The first and more sweaty method is earning the Legend Title in Destiny 2 before 25 September to be granted early access to purchase the blaster. The second and more sensible method is waiting till 9 October - that's when Bungie will sell it to the everyone else. Either way, if you’re keen on getting the blaster, it will set you back for USD$50 (~S$65.30)
As an added bonus, owners of the blaster will unlock an in-game ornament for the Ace of Spades weapon in Destiny 2. The ornament will also be available for purchase in the Eververse store.
To commemorate the 10-year occasion, Bungie is also introducing a series of in-game events. From armour sets inspired by original concept designs from the first Destiny game to new objectives, there is something for everyone to obtain.
Anyhow, for those of you ballers who wants to attain the Legend Tier in The Final Shape expansion, you can do so by completing various objectives. These include finishing The Final Shape campaign in legendary mode, wearing the anniversary armour set during ritual activities, and exploring the new Pale Heart area for objectives.
To keep the community up to date about the upcoming changes, there will be a series of developer insight deep dives over the coming months that will provide a look into the upcoming updates and the direction the game is headed towards. More information can be found in the blog post here.
Finally, the developers are holding exhibitions in the city of Los Angeles, New York, and London, that will feature prints, sculptures, and props made by 67 artists to showcase the Destiny universe over the past decade. More information about the showcase can be found on the event page here.
