The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition, which entered the European marketplace at €1949 ($2,055.91), is now at a drastically lower price of €1819 ($1,918.17), a difference of €150 ($137.74).

In light of the recent removal of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series Founders Edition graphics cards for sale on the company's website and retail shelves, the price of the RTX 4090 Founders Edition (FE) has now lowered its price in the European Union by close to seven percent, reports French technology website Cowcotland. This is not the first reduction in price for the graphics card, as it was selling for €1859 for several weeks.

Less than a week ago, it was reported that the RTX 30 series variants were slowly disappearing from retail shelves and even the company's website. While NVIDIA has not officially confirmed why these models are missing or being removed, it is believed that the company is attempting to push consumers into purchasing the Ada Lovelace generation of graphics cards that are higher in cost and offer increased performance, such as the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition, which you can check out our review here.

NVIDIA is releasing a newer RTX 3060 graphics card version with an updated GPU chip and GDDR6X memory. The new variant of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card is said to feature the GA104 GPU onboard and is to utilize GDDR6X memory. If this rumor is true, this new card will join three other RTX 3060 graphics cards currently available for consumers.

  • GeForce RTX 3060 12GB GDDR6 (GA106-300)
  • GeForce RTX 3060 12GB GDDR6 LHR (GA106-302)
  • GeForce RTX 3060 8GB GDDR6 (GA106-302)
  • GeForce RTX 3060 12GB GDDR6X (GA104 - new)
  • The pricing of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards has reduced anywhere between seven to sixteen percent since the initial launch. Below is a current update to the pricing of NVIDIA's present-generation desktop graphics cards:

  • GeForce RTX 4090 FE: €1819
  • GeForce RTX 4080 FE: €1369
  • NVIDIA partners will also see reductions, with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 to lower to €1229, while the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti will drop to an estimated €875. There is a rumor that the company will also phase out the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 16 series with the more up-to-date RTX 3050 GPU series over the coming months. However, it looks as if the company will take more actions to boomerang sales back to nominal levels since the initial pricing did cause a halt in purchases and updates from consumers who did not want to spend the asking price for next-gen technology.
