Corsair Releases White MP600 PRO LPX M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD, PS5 Compatible & Up To 4 TB

Corsair has introduced its new MP600 PRO LPX M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSDs which are compatible with the Sony PS5 console, offering storage capacities from 1 TB to 4 TB and a new white colorway heatsink variant. The new PS5-compatible SSD is available from the Corsair website for $464.99.
This new white variant of the Corsair MP600 PRO LPX SSD offers the same performance that users should expect from the original MP600 LPX model. It provides a compact M.2 2280 form-factor size, and the company assures that the SSD is plug-and-play, and users will not be expected to download any additional software for support.
The new version of the Corsair MP600 PRO LPX features a pre-installed aluminum heat spreader that is relatively thin but remains capable of dissipating the heat from the SSD and limiting throttling. It is manufactured with durable 3D TLC NAND, offering superb performance while lasting much longer than most competing PS5 SSDs.
The sequential read and write speeds for Corsair's MP600 PRO LPX SSD (white) are 7.1 Gbps and 6.8 Gbps, respectively. For random read speeds, Corsair boasts that the speed will be 1000K IOPS for read rates and write speeds of 1200K IOPS, with full write volumes equalling 3000 TBW.
In the below video, the YouTube channel NASCompares shows the performance and loading of the original black Corsair MP600 PRO LPX SSD but did update recommended PS5 compatible heatsinks and solid-state drives. In both videos, the Corsair MP600 PRO LPX comes out strong and is still recommended as one of the best SSDs for the PS5 console.
Amazon also features the new white colorway variant of the Corsair MP600 PRO LPX solid-state drive, which the online retailer has listed the three different capacity specifications:
On Corsair's website, all versions of the MP600 PRO LPX SSDs are backed by a five-year warranty, whereas Amazon has insurance plans through Affirm to extend the support for your purchase. If you choose not to purchase Affirm insurance, Amazon offers the retailer's 30-day replacement or returns policy, and some drives offer free returns. Also, if you prefer the original black variant, it is still available in 500 TB, 1 TB, 2 TB, and 4 TB versions, with the last offering at the same price point as the new colorway.
