Lenovo Legion Go Could Be Going Lightweight In “LITE” Handheld Variant, Powered By AMD Z1

Lenovo might be planning another Legion Go handheld, this time releasing a slimmer & trimmed-down "LITE" version of the original design.
Windows Central reports that Lenovo plans to release a new gaming handheld amid the popularity they witnessed with their Legion Go. The firm looks to expand its portfolio of devices, and with that, it is said that the next entrant would be a more "compact and portable" option. The device is expected to be called the Legion Go "Lite"; as the suffix suggests, the handheld might be much lighter and less bulky than the standard counterpart.
Diving into additional details, it is said that the Lenovo Legion Go Lite handheld will feature the same AMD's Ryzen Z1 APUs; hence, there are no compromises expected in the performance department. The more significant changes compared to the standard Legion Go are said to be done within the physical element of the device, which means that we might see a revamped look, with the primary focus being cutting down the weight of the handheld.
With this, the Legion Go Lite is expected to come with detachable controllers, smaller displays, and similar changes. But, right now, there isn't an exact idea of what the new handheld will come with. Interestingly, Lenovo's APAC representative hinted towards the fact that the firm plans on expanding the Legion Go lineup through next-gen offerings, so the company could give us a shocker here by changing foundational architectures, but we can't conclude on this just yet.
Well, the Lenovo Legion Go was a decent release by the firm. It not only expanded the AMD Ryzen Z1-based handheld segment, but Lenovo did a great job of providing a capable device at a solid price. We expect the "Lite" counterpart to follow a similar pattern. Lenovo can potentially make the device more competitive through a decent price tag, maybe lower than rivals, and the $500 or less segment would be optimal for it.
