Gigabyte Z790 AORUS XTREME X ICE Motherboard Pictured: White Misty Looks In A Premium Design

Gigabyte's premium Z790 AORUS XTREME X ICE motherboard has been unveiled with a misty white twist & a very premium design.
Recently, we got to see AORUS's upcoming GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER Xtreme ICE GPU, which is a premium and limited edition design that comes with the highest GPU clock of all RTX 4080 SUPER graphics cards and adopts a very premium white theme. In addition to that, AORUS will also be offering its XTREME ICE series with other components, such as the Z790 AORUS XTREME X ICE motherboard.
So talking about the specifications, the Z790 AORUS XTREME X ICE motherboard features a gold-colored LGA 1700 socket which is covered by a misty white cover plate. This plate will be removed when installing a cooler, so it's just for decoration purposes. The whole motherboard comes in a white-shrouded exterior with a crystalline and glossy texture on the bottom half and a matte color scheme on the top half. The I/O panel comes with an LCD screen that displays statistics in real time.
Another interesting feature of the Gigabyte Z790 AORUS XTREME X ICE motherboard is its huge M.2 heatsink which almost feels like a Mini GPU of sorts. This heatsink has two massive heat pipes that lead into a huge aluminum-finned heatsink and provide insane cooling to any SSD underneath it. This should be more than enough to keep one of the fastest Gen5 drives out there under 50C in a passive cooling mode. For Expansion, there's a single PCIe Gen 5.0 x16 slot which has lots of metal shielding along the edges and there's a quick-release switch to easily release the PCIe graphics card from the slot.
As for the connectors, the Gigabyte Z790 AORUS XTREME X ICE motherboard has a wide range of right-angled connectors on the front of the motherboard. These include the 24-pin ATX connector, fan headers, SATA ports, and more. There's also a DEBUG LED and a few tuning switches plus a gold badge that reads the number of the motherboard.
There are only 300 such motherboards on the planet. The release date and pricing aren't known, but considering that the standard AORUS Z790 Xtreme X motherboard is already priced above $1000 US, we can expect this one to be above $1500 US plus the limited nature means that only a handful of people will be able to get it.
