AUO has unveiled its brand new 4K 240Hz and 5K 360Hz gaming display panels at the Taiwan Touch 2023 exhibition.
AUO unveiled its brand new gaming display panels at the Taiwan Touch 2023 exhibition which it plans to incorporate in future products. TechpowerUp was able to get hands-on with these new designs which are detailed below.
AUO 32" 4K 240Hz Flat IPS A.R.T Gaming Display Panel
First up, we have the 4K 240Hz A.R.T Gaming Display which comes with a new technology known as "Advanced Reflectionless Technology". This new tech can assist in hiding glare & reflections on the display screen, providing a clear-viewing experience. AUO is using its own 32-inch 4K AHVA panel & that features an IPS design.
With high refresh rate, high resolution, and unique curvature panel design for professional gaming desktop monitors and laptop panels, AUO is committed to being the best teammate for gamers in the field of gaming display and meeting the needs of top gamers with a complete product line. .
The latest high-definition gaming panel has made another breakthrough with the ultra-high refresh rate of VRR (Variable Refresh Rate). ART’s advanced anti-reflective technology products can effectively reduce glare through special surface structure and extremely low reflection coating. Eye fatigue caused by interference problems can be achieved to achieve eye protection effect. Among them, the exclusive AmLED technology that can create gorgeous HDR ultra-high contrast effects, and the professional e-sports dynamic image quality meet the needs of e-sports players of real-time strategy games.

This is also stated to be one of the first 4K Gaming displays rated at a refresh rate of 240Hz. It does come with a standard brightness of 400 cd/m2 and a 1ms GTG response time plus a 95% coverage (DCI-P3 color gamut). The inputs of this monitor are not known but since it is targeted at next-gen products, we can expect the latest HDMI and DisplayPort standards.
AUO 49" 5K 360Hz Curved Gaming Display Panel
The second monitor on display is a 49-inch 5K panel with a maximum resolution of 5120 x 1440. The ultra-wide display comes with a 1000R curved design and rocks a peak refresh rate of 360Hz. This monitor has a brightness rate of 600 nits when running in HDR mode and comes with the AUO PSA (VA) Panel.
There's no mention of prices or availability yet but AUO also talked about its FHD (1920 x 1080) display which features a 540Hz refresh rate in a 24-inch panel. This is most likely being used by ASUS's ROG Swift Pro PG248QP which was revealed at CES 2023 and launching soon around the $899 US pricing.
