ASUS GeForce RTX 4090 ROG MATRIX Achieves Record Breaking 3.94 GHz GPU Frequency

ASUS has just posted a new world record with its upcoming GeForce RTX 4090 ROG MATRIX which was overclocked to a mind-blowing 3.94 GHz GPU clock.
Announced during Computex 2023, the GeForce RTX 4090 ROG MATRIX is the flagship NVIDIA GPU design by ASUS. The graphics card comes with a next-gen AIO liquid cooler which adopts liquid TIM application and is said to feature the highest GPU boost clock out of all the RTX 4090 custom cards available today.
Yaaay!!????The ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 sets a new World Record ????????, hitting 3.94GHz (or 3945MHz) with sub-zero liquid nitrogen overclocking‼️

To further showcase the engineering feat of its GeForce RTX 4090 ROG MATRIX, ASUS sent the GPU to American overclocker, SPLAVE, who pushed the chip to its limits within the GPUPI v3.3 (32 Billion) benchmark. The graphics card was equipped with a LN2 pot and the exotic cooling solution allowed it to post some incredible frequency numbers with a few tweaks. At the end of the run, ASUS's ROG MATRIX GeForce RTX 4090 scored a world record frequency of 3945 MHz or 3.94 GHz which is just a few MHz away from the 4 GHz mark. You can find the Hwbot validation here & a picture of the test result below:
This beats the previous GPU frequency world record which was achieved by Colorful's GeForce RTX 4090 iGame LAB edition, also on LN2 cooling. That custom design also ran at a mind-boggling core clock of 3930 MHz. The ASUS clock frequency is just +15 MHz higher than what was achieved by the Colorful iGame LAB edition. It looks like the GeForce RTX 4090 is very much approaching its limit as far as frequency is concerned but we still hope that it manages to break the 4 GHz mark.
If not, then I guess we will just have to wait for the NVIDIA GeForce TX 4090 Ti to do so which will come with a higher-binned AD102 silicon, allowing for a possible 4 GHz+ record. ASUS has yet to launch the card but it is expected to be available in the coming months for a very high premium since it will be available in limited quantities.
