AMD Ryzen 7000 Embedded CPUs For AM5 Platforms Debut: Up To 12 Zen 4 Cores, X600 PCH Activator

AMD has released its Ryzen 7000 Embedded CPUs for various applications including industrial automation, machine vision, robotics, and edge servers.
The AMD Ryzen 7000 Embedded family marks a big upgrade over the Ryzen 5000 Embedded CPUs. The new family gets Zen 4 cores, With up to 12 cores and 105W TDP configurations, these chips are now supported on the new AM5 platform offering support for DDR5-5200 memory.
The Ryzen 7000 Embedded platform will also come in the X600 PCH flavors which is a chipset activator, allowing the motherboards to use the full 28 PCIe Gen 5.0 lanes on the I/O die featured on the CPUs since there's no actual PCH, these specific motherboards won't benefit from additional I/O outside of what's offered in the CPU IOD. This X600 PCH will also be utilized by various Mini-ITX MoDT (Mobile on Desktop) boards that are launching later this year.
[Press Release]: AMD today announced at Smart Production Solutions 2023 the AMD Ryzen Embedded 7000 Series processor family, optimized for the high-performance requirements of industrial markets. By combining “Zen 4” architecture and integrated Radeon graphics, Ryzen Embedded 7000 Series processors deliver performance and functionality not previously offered for the embedded market.
The Ryzen Embedded 7000 Series processor is the first embedded processor to use next-generation 5nm technology with a 7-year manufacturing availability commitment. The new embedded processor integrates AMD Radeon RDNA 2 graphics eliminating the need for a discrete GPU for industrial applications. And because embedded applications require additional operating system software options, Ryzen Embedded 7000 Series processors include support for both Windows Server and Linux Ubuntu, on top of Windows 10 and Windows 11.
Our products feature the latest AMD Ryzen Embedded 7000 Series processors, which excel in delivering exceptional productivity and graphics performance for industrial applications while remaining cost-effective. This product significantly enhances operational efficiency, particularly in areas such as machine vision, robotic arm control, and high-end medical imaging systems.
