Acer Intros Nitro Gaming Monitors With Up To 600Hz Refresh Rates

Acer has introduced its brand new gaming monitors for all kinds of gamers which feature refresh rates of up to 600Hz.
Acer has today unveiled three brand new premium gaming monitors boasting incredibly high refresh rates for achieving high fluidity in gameplay. The monitors were announced at the IFA 2024 event, where Acer showcased the new Nitro series monitors: the Nitro XV240 F6, Nitro XV270U F5, and the Nitro XV270 F5 for competitive gamers.
The new Acer gaming monitors feature a wide color gamut, great viewing angles, a high refresh rate, and adaptive sync technologies. With reduced response time, these monitors are faster than regular TN, VA, and IPS panels and reduce blurriness and ghosting, giving gamers an advantage over their opponents with insanely fast refresh rates of up to 600Hz.
Acer Nitro XV240 F6 gaming monitor features a 24-inch TN display and a resolution of 1920x1080p. The monitor can run up to 240Hz with the HDMI connection and a whopping 600 Hz with the latest DisplayPort 1.4. Nitro XV240 F6 runs at a response time of 1ms GtG but can reduce the response time up to 0.1ms for faster frame transitions.
It is also equipped with AMD FreeSync Premium for reducing screen tearing which assists in pleasant gameplay. Since it uses the TN panel, the viewing angles are 170°(H)/160°(V) but the display quality is still on par with the latest gaming monitors due to its wide color gamut of 95% DCI-P3 coverage. Nitro XV240 F6 comes with a max brightness of 400 nits and supports DisplayHDR 400. Users can adjust the monitor as the stand is ergonomic, supporting tilt, height, swivel, and pivot adjustments. Furthermore, there are 2W x2 speakers for decent audio delivery.
The Acer Nitro XV270 F5 gaming monitor is a bigger 27-inch display, featuring an IPS panel for great viewing angles. The monitor boasts 1920x1080p resolution and can be overclocked to 520Hz on both HDMI and DP connections. There are multiple connectivity ports for both display output and peripherals, including 2x HDMI 2.1, 1x DP 1.2, 2x USB 3.2, 1x 3.5mm jack, USB-B, and an SPK connector.
The XV270 F5 features a lot of specs similar to the XV240 F6 but a different color space coverage of 99% sRGB apart from a different screen size. The XV270U F5 is another 27-inch Nitro variant, which offers a bigger 2560x1440p resolution for displaying more details. The monitor runs at a response time of 1ms GtG typically but can reduce the response time up to 0.5ms just like the XV270 F5.
Users will get AMD FreeSync Premium, 99% sRGB color space, and better color reproduction of up to 1.07B colors via 8Bit+FRC. However, the monitor lacks peripheral connectivity ports and has brightness reduced from 400 nits to 250 nits.
The Acer Nitro XV240 F6, XV270 F5, and XV270U F5 gaming monitors will be available for purchase in Q1 2025 in the North American region. The XV240 F6 will start selling at US$599.99, XV270 F5 at US$799.99, and XV270U F5 at US$599.99. These monitors will be available in Europe in Q1 as well but will launch in Q4 2024 in China before other parts of the world.
