XFX Intros Ultra High-End Radeon RX 7900 XTX Phoenix Nirvana GPU, Triple-Slot & Triple-Fan Cooling For $1000+

XFX has finally launched its ultra high-end Radeon RX 7900 XTX Phoenix Nirvana GPU which comes with a triple slot & triple fan cooling solution.
XFX teased its Radeon RX 7900 XTX Phoenix Nirvana GPU a few days ago and now, the graphics card has been launched as one of the most premium and ultra-high-end solutions featuring the AMD Navi 31 XTX GPU core. The graphics card features the same 6144 cores and 24 GB GDDR6 memory interface but clocks up to 2615 MHz, a +117 MHz factory overclock over the stock variant.
The cooling solution comes from the Ghost Thermal 4.0 design which features 216 aluminum fins, eight 6mm copper heat pipes, and a large vacuum vapor chamber baseplate that covers the GPU and the VRAM modules. Cooling is provided through three large 100mm fans that the company states are based on magnetic levitation technology. Each fan can run at up to 3200 RPM, providing 70.08CFM of airflow, and 4.88 mmH20 air pressure. All three fans are also PWM-controlled.
The vapor chamber has a surface area of 62,586mm2 and a full thermal conductivity rated at 15,000 W/mk. The whole heatsink has a surface area of 10,603,980mm2.
Furthermore, XFX uses Honeywell's PTM 7950 thermal pad over the GPU, providing a thermal conductivity of 8.5W/mk. As for the graphics card PCB, the XFX Radeon RX 7900 XTX Phoenix Nirvana comes rocking with a 14+2+1 phase design which is powered by a triple 8-pin connector interface.
We also get a few glimpses of the backplate and the side of the card which is entirely covered in matte black color and based on the rear I/O picture, this card will be a quad-slot juggernaut. Display outputs will include triple DP2.1 and a single HDMI port.
The card will measure 346x132x68 mm which is bigger than XFX's existing flagship, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX Speedster MERC310, which measures 344x128x57mm. As for the pricing, the XFX Radeon RX 7900 XTX Phoenix Nirvana is currently only available in China for a retail price of 7719 RMB or $1091 US. That's a lot of premium being charged. In the US, most custom models of the 7900 XTX are available below $900 US at the moment.
