Qualcomm has teased its Snapdragon X CPU launch for the 24th of April on the social media platform, X.
It looks like Qualcomm's has finally set the stage for its upcoming and cutting-edge Snapdragon X CPUs. The Snapdragon X SKUs are primed to revolutionize the PC (more specifically AI PC) market, particularly the AI segment, through their impressive performance and a blazing-fast dedicated AI engine, which helps to catalyze edge AI computing and much more, according to what the company has shown the tech press officially.
In a recent post, we discussed how the Snapdragon X CPUs stack up against Intel Meteor Lake counterparts, & to our surprise, Qualcomm emerged as the winner against many Core Ultra CPUs but we still advise users to wait for independent reviews as there are certain outliers that we have discussed and pointed out in these cherry-picked benchmarks.

For a quick rundown, the Snapdragon X CPU lineup will come in different configurations, starting with the highest-end with a 12-core count and the lower-end "X Plus" models ranging from four cores to ten cores. We haven't received confirmation about official details; hence, we cannot tell you the specifics right now, but in conclusive terms, expect Snapdragon X Elite to be a highly competitive platform in the markets, and despite it being Qualcomm's first attempt in the CPU segment, it is undoubtedly going to be a great hit. Well, now that we know when to expect Qualcomm's CPUs to drop into the markets, there will be exciting times ahead. I am more excited about the AI performance with these SKUs since we are pretty fond of the comparison between respective core performances.
As for products, Lenovo's upcoming Snapdragon Yoga & ThinkPad laptops feature the X Elite CPUs have already leaked out, and it's only a matter of time before others follow. The company is planning its own unveil a few days ahead of the official Snapdragon X Elite announcement while HP is also reportedly going to roll out a new high-end Dragon Series thin & light business laptop with the Snapdragon X CPUs.
