NVIDIA Rolls Out Firmware Update For Pre-RTX GPUs To Fix Black Screen Issues on DisplayPort 1.3 & 1.4 Monitor

NVIDIA has rolled out a firmware update for older and Pre-RTX GPUs to fix black screen issues encountered when using DisplayPort 1.3 & 1.4 displays.
Many users have reported black screen issues on NVIDIA GPUs, mostly the older lineup such as the GeForce 10, GeForce 900, GeForce 700, Titan (Maxwell, Pascal, XP), and Quadro (Maxwell & Pascal) series.
The issues occurred on the aforementioned GPUs when running the display via the DisplayPort 1.3 or 1.4 outputs. Not only did users encounter black screen issues but some users also reported their systems to completely hang during boot. This is why NVIDIA has rolled out a new firmware update that aims to resolve these issues entirely. You can follow this link to download the latest Firmware Update tool which will automatically assess if your GPU requires a firmware update and roll it out.
To enable the latest DisplayPort 1.3 / 1.4 features, your graphics card may require a firmware update. Without the update, systems that are connected to a DisplayPort 1.3 / 1.4 monitor could experience blank screens on boot until the OS loads or could experience a hang-on boot.
The NVIDIA Firmware Updater will detect whether the firmware update is needed, and if needed, will give the user the option to update it. If you are currently experiencing a blank screen or hang on boot with a DP 1.3 or 1.4 monitor, please try one of the following workarounds in order to run the tool:
Once you have the tool downloaded, please run the tool and follow the on-screen instructions.
