NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Prices Continue To Fall In Europe As Sales Remain Stagnant

In a new update to the price fall of NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, it appears that the graphics card has sunk below the €600 mark in German markets. Remember that the graphics card has only been available for a few weeks. The reason for the increased drop in cost is that consumers are still reluctant to buy the new graphics card which might be due to its poor value or increased sales and promotions on competitor cards.
NVIDIA's reference Founders Edition, as well as custom variants from partners, have had no issues with stock and supply. Tom's Hardware mentions that up to three variations of the graphics card have sold out, which include the Asus Dual GPU series and NVIDIA's own Founders Edition card. All three of these variants are priced at the MSRP of $599 US.
In the past, when companies like AMD and NVIDIA released a brand new model or series, the cards became much harder to locate due to high levels of adoption from new gamers looking to update to the latest generation. Meanwhile, while there are reports of the GeForce RTX 4070 being limited in production, the card is still available in stock worldwide.
The lowest price RTX 4070 graphics card comes from company Gainward and its GeForce RTX 4070 Ghost GPU, now selling for €599. The price drop appeared on the online retailer Alternate, based in Germany. Other companies have yet to break the €600 price point but are slowly lowering each week. Currently, models from Palit, Gigabyte, and Inno3D have settled into the €625 to €645 mark but are expected to fall very soon.

The United States has yet to see a significant price reduction, with only a few OC models lowering as much as $20. There is talk that NVIDIA is preparing to launch the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti alongside the release of rival AMD and its Radeon RX 7600 GPU next month during Computex. The company may lower the price to steal consumers from AMD with more attractive pricing during that time.
The graphics card is identical in performance to the previous generation's RTX 3080 GPU with much higher efficiency, more VRAM, and DLSS 3 support. Unfortunately, even with decent results such as this, the card is still not moving and may not see a surge in sales until it drops much lower.
