NBA 2K25 Arcade Edition headlines the next batch of Apple Arcade games release

Apple Arcade has dropped eight new titles into its line-up, with 2K Game’s NBA 2K25 Arcade Edition leading the charge. The latest edition of the NBA 2K franchise sees the debut of The Neighbourhood to mobile, a new hub where players can roam around streetball courts, challenge friends to 1-on-1 matchups or other Game Center players in 3-on-3 contests. The game will be out on 3 October.

If you like strategy games, Balatro+ is a new deck-building roguelike with a poker twist. Developed by LocalThunk, it combines poker mechanics with a unique, synthwave-inspired world. You’re tasked with crafting powerful hands and using joker cards with special abilities to outsmart opponents.

Want something more laid back? Then Food Truck Pup+ and Furistas Cat Cafe+ could be right up your alley. Food Truck Pup+ lets you run a crepe business with canine chefs, while Furistas Cat Cafe+ involves managing a cafe filled with cats and customising it to suit your style. Obviously, these games are geared towards friends of doggos and kitties.

For those craving a bit of nostalgia, NFL Retro Bowl '25 brings old-school gridiron action to the mix. It’s also the first NFL-licensed game on Apple Arcade. Meanwhile, Puzzle Sculpt offers something different with its focus on spatial puzzles, but it might be limited by the niche appeal of the Vision Pro hardware (read our review here).

Rounding out the line-up is Smash Hit+, a simple but satisfying game about smashing glass obstacles with a swipe. It’s straightforward and easy to play, which could make it a decent go-to when you’ve got a few minutes to kill.

Apple Arcade is available for S$9.98 per month with a one-month free trial (click here to subscribe). Customers who purchase a new iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV receive three months of Apple Arcade for free. Apple Arcade is also part of Apple One’s Individual (S$23.95) and Family (S$29.95) monthly plans, with a one-month free trial.
