MSI Deploys AMD AGESA 1.1.0.2b BIOS Firmware Across All AM5 Motherboards, Ready For Ryzen 8000G APUs
MSI has deployed its latest AGESA 1.1.0.2b BIOS firmware for its AM5 motherboards which adds optimized support for AMD Ryzen 8000G APUs.
Recently, we have seen many motherboard makers roll out the latest AGESA Firmware for their AM5 motherboards. Now MSI has also updated its product portfolio with the latest BIOS release based on the AGESA 1.1.0.2b firmware. This BIOS update comes just a few days ahead of the AMD Ryzen 8000G Desktop APU launch and users who are planning to upgrade their AM5 platforms to the new APUs should update their boards.
MSI hasn't stated much in the changelog besides "AGESA ComboPI 1.1.0.2b updated". There might be a few optimizations here and there but it should be mentioned that these are still BETA releases so an official version is better worth waiting for.
As for the motherboards, MSI has almost the entirety of its AM5 lineup updated with the AMD AGESA 1.1.0.2b BETA BIOS. Only the flagship X670E GODLIKE and a few B650/A620 boards are missing which should also receive the update soon. You can find the respective BIOS for your MSI AM5 motherboard in the following table:
