MSI Claw “Intel Core Ultra” Handheld Drops Down To £599 In UK, 25% Below MSRP

The MSI Claw, an Intel Core Ultra-powered gaming handheld, has seen a hefty price drop down to £599 from the British retailer, Currys.
The handheld markets have been quiet for some time now when it comes to decent discounts, and it seems like MSI has finally broken the silence, as their "Claw" handheld sees a drop of 25% from its original £799 MSRP. The discounted deal comes from UK retailer, Currys.
Interestingly, you can also claim a free copy of Skull and Bones under MSI's Laptop Spring sale, which makes the deal even more attractive for consumers. However, the deal is available at Currys, a famous UK retailer, hence US and other consumers can't avail the package, at least for now.
For a quick rundown on the specifications of the MSI Claw handheld, the discounted model uses an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H CPU, and is the fastest SKU with the other one featuring the Core Ultra 5 135H chip.
This Intel Core Ultra 7 155H CPU offers 16 cores and 22 threads, 24 MB of cache, and runs up to 4.8 GHz clock speeds. The handheld has Intel's Arc Xe-LPG iGPU with 8 Xe-Cores and up to 2.25 GHz clocks. In terms of memory and storage, the handheld features 16 GB LPDDR5-6400 memory and a 1TB storage capacity.
We won't dive down much into specifications, but if you are eager, you can read our detailed view here. Regarding the discounted pricing, it's undoubtedly decent, but I would wait a bit here, probably around the £500 mark, since that's where it would be a bargain, competing with existing options such as the ASUS ROG Ally which are available starting at just $299 US at the moment. We aren't certain whether we will see a similar drop in another retail region, so we'll have to wait and see.
