Minisforum has displayed its next-gen Mini PC designs featuring Intel Core Ultra & AMD Ryzen 7000 HX CPUs in two stunning models.

Minisforum has two big announcements for CES 2024 besides a few products such as the MS-01 and the V3 Tablet which have already been revealed. These two new products include the UH185 Ultra and the HX200G.

Starting with the UH185 Ultra, the Mini PC comes with Intel's flagship Meteor Lake "Core Ultra" CPU, the Core Ultra 9 185H, offering 16 cores, 22 threads, a powerful NPU for AI processing, and the latest Arc Xe-LPG integrated graphics with 8 Xe-Cores clocked at 2250 MHz. The chip boosts up to 5.1 GHz and has a TDP of 45W+. This PC will also come in UH155 Ultra and UH125 Ultra models.

This Mini PC comes with the same boxed-shaped design that we expect from Minisforum but one huge addition is the 4-inch auxiliary screen at the top of the chassis which shows CPU, GPU, RAM, and SSD metrics such as utilization, name, and temperatures. Other things include weather, time, and date, plus you can also fully customize it since it uses a touch-screen panel. Another aspect of this screen is that it supports a 1080p camera with physical shading which is complemented by the vertical stand that makes it almost as functional as a laptop's front camera.

Other notable specifications include support for two DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM memory with up to 96 GB capacities, 2 M.2 PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe SSD slots, a single SD card reader, dual USB4 ports, and two 5GbE Ethernet LAN ports. To furter expand the graphics capabilities, there's an added Oculink port too. These are a lot of features for a product this small & we can expect Minisforum to shake up the Mini PC market in 2024 with the UH185 Ultra.

The other Mini PC on display is the Minisforum HX200G which is a high-end design featuring AMD's Ryzen 9 7945HX CPU with 16 cores and 32 threads. This chip is gargantuan for a Mini PC design & boasts tons of multi-threading horsepower with 64 MB of L3 cache with a power rating of up to 85 Watts. Besides the CPU, you are also getting a discrete graphics card such as the AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT which offers 32 Compute Units based on the RDNA 3 architecture and can operate at a TDP of up to 120W.

Other specifications include a cooling solution that features liquid gold TIM for both the CPU and GPU and a quad-fan layout that provides top-tier cooling at noise levels below 45DdBA. The Mini PC also comes with a single PCIe Gen5 NVMe SSD slot making it the first Mini PC to do so and the design is very unique, featuring a vertical stand with large exhaust vents on the front and back. It has two horoscope engrams with what seems to be RGB lighting and the matte black chassis gets slight hints of red across the edges.

Besides that, Minisforum is also launching its EM780 Mini PC soon featuring the Ryzen 7 7840U APU in a tiny 0.25L chassis. This Mini PC starts at $619 US and is the fastest Mini PC in this form factor and size. The EM780 will be available in orange, aqua, and black colored flavors.

Lastly, Minisforum is also introducing its BD790i motherboard soon with a Ryzen 9 7945HX CPU which will mark a huge improvement over the existing BD770i design with a Ryzen 7 7745HX CPU. Pricing on the HX200G and UH185 Ultra are not announced yet but we can expect the products to launch within the first half of 2024.
