Intel Core Ultra “Meteor Lake” Mini PCs Offer Up To 16 Cores, Arc GPU & 70W TDP Support

As expected, the first Mini PC manufacturers have started rolling out their Intel Core Ultra "Meteor Lake" designs with up to 70W TDP support.
The first designs have been showcased by MECHREVO and Thunderobot who have utilized Intel's latest Core Ultra "Meteor Lake" CPUs to power their Mini PC solutions. Intel's Core Ultra CPUs are integrated with the latest CPU and GPU cores which should offer a nice performance boost versus the existing 12th / 13th Gen family, especially in the graphics department. In addition to those, the chips also pack dedicated NPUs for faster AI workloads.
MECHREVO iMini "Intel Core Ultra Meteor Lake" Mini PCs
Starting with the MECHREVO, we have the iMini series which will come in Pro and Non-Pro flavors. The first products will be configured with the Core Ultra 7 155H and Core Ultra 5 125H CPUs, with up to 16 cores and Arc Xe-LPG integrated GPUs with 8 Xe-Cores. The Mini PC will come equipped with 32 GB of DDR5-5600 memory and 1 TB of PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD.
In terms of design, MECHREVO took inspiration from the Apple iMac Mini with dimensions of 154 x 152 x 37.8mm and a weight of just 0.79kg. The iMini PC has a very slim chassis with shiny silver edges & a matte silver color scheme. The company logo is seen on the top. The front only has the power button while the front panel I/O is placed on the sides and includes a USB 3.2 Gen2 port, 2 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, a Kensington lock, and a rest port. The back houses two 2.5 GbE LAN ports, a Thunderbolt4 Type-C port, a 3.5mm headset jack, DP/HDMI display outputs, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, and a USB 2.0 port.
The sides of this Mini PC also feature an exhaust vent that blows air out of the internals. The bottom of the chassis also has a large exhaust vent and you can see the active cooling solution through it. MECHREVO's own internal testing shows that the system reached a peak temperature of 88C at its peak 65W limit running the CInebench R23 benchmark (looped).
MECHREVO expects the Mini PC to ship within this month. We also covered the first benchmarks of this Mini PC a few days ago here. The pricing is currently set at 4499 RMB which converts to a little over $600 US for the 125H variant.
Thunderobot MIX PRO AI "Intel Core Ultra Meteor Lake" Mini PCs
The second Mini PC based on the Intel Core Ultra "Meteor Lake" CPU design is the Thunderobot MIX PRO AI which is a slightly higher-end variant that utilizes a range of Meteor Lake SKUs and has a powerful cooling solution that offers up to 70W cooling. While the MECHREVO focuses on a slimmer chassis design, the Thunderobot solution uses a dual-fan cooling solution which allows for a higher TDP support.
Specifications include 32 GB DDR5-5600 memory, 1 TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD, and a 1.1L chassis that features a CNC machine. I/O on the Thunderobot MIX PRO AI includes dual 2.5 GbE Ethernet LAN ports, a Thunderbolt 4 and a standard USB4 Type-C port, WIFI 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3 support. The company states that more information is coming soon so we can expect availability in the first quarter of 2024.
