Intel Arc Pro A60 Desktop & Mobile GPUs Show Up, Feature 16 Xe-Cores

Intel is planning to expand its entry-level workstation GPU lineup with the latest Arc Pro A60 mobile & desktop offerings.

Intel does not offer many options in its Intel Arc Pro graphics card series. There are currently three consumer models, the Intel Arc A30, A40, and A40M, which utilize a derivative of the ACM-G11 GPU chip and offer 8 Xe-cores. The GPUs can only be found in OEM PCs and are unavailable to purchase separately. Now, Intel is planning to add another and better variant within its Arc Pro lineup known as the Arc Pro A60.

Based on the leak, the Intel Arc A60 & Arc A60M are anticipated to offer 16 Xe-Cores which is going to be double the amount featured on the current Arc Pro GPUs The A60 & A60M are also expected to be faster than the previous A40 and A50 series graphics cards with clock speeds boosting up to 2450 MHz though the final figure may vary. There aren't a lot of details available on these SKUs yet but it looks like we can see a launch happen this quarter.

Considering the faster clocks and higher core count, the Intel Arc Pro A60 series GPUs will certainly not get a small form factor design. They are expected to utilize an external power input with a TDP of around 100-125W and a slightly beefier cooler seems to be given. As for other specs, the VRAM configuration might go up to 8 GB across a 128-bit bus interface though that isn't confirmed as of yet.

Intel has not made any official word yet on if these GPUs exist but the CompuBench leak gives us more than enough info that they may be coming to retail soon. We just hope that they won't endure the same fate as the Arc A580 graphics card which has simply vanished into thin air since it was announced.
