Intel Arc A580 8 GB Graphics Card Officially Launched: Aiming 1080p Gaming Masses At $179

Intel has officially launched its brand-new Arc A580 8 GB graphics card which brings fantastic mainstream gaming performance to the masses.
The Intel Arc A580 8 GB graphics card has long been awaited and it's finally here with three new custom designs offered by ASRock, GUNNIR & Sparkle. All three variants include dual-fan & dual-slot designs with great aesthetics and triple-fan variants from GUNNIR are also expected to launch soon.
Starting with the specifications, the Intel Arc A580 features 24 cores, 384 EUs, and 3072 ALUs which are clocked at an official graphics clock of 1700 MHz and a maximum boost clock of up to 2400MHz which is in line with the higher-end Intel Arc A770 and Arc A750 graphics cards. All three custom models are rated to run at 2000 MHz out of the box which is an 18% increase over the stock clock speeds. The Arc A580 graphics card will be offering 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM across a 256-bit bus interface with up to 512 GB/s bandwidth and a TBP of 185W.
In terms of performance, Intel officially compares the Arc A580 8 GB graphics card against the AMD Radeon RX 6600 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 though we have seen the card sit slightly close to the RTX 3060 and RX 7600 which is great considering the price of this card is going to be around the $200 US range. This is definitely going to be the selling point of the Arc A580 as it is designed for the masses. The GPU also supports Intel XeSS technology and advanced ray tracing capabilities that give it an edge over its competition.
The company actually uses XeSS and Non-XeSS metrics to show the usefulness of its upscaling tech within games. With XeSS Performance Mode, users can achieve a 63% higher frame rate across a range of games. At 1080p, the card will mostly be topping out around 45-60 FPS on average with RT enabled. In Cyberpunk 2077 1080P with Ray-traced shadows, the card achieves 58 FPS natively and 85 FPS with the XeSS performance mode.
Intel hasn't provided an official MSRP but it has listed down various outlets that will be offering the Arc A580 8 GB graphics card that you can check out below. The lowest price of the graphics card is $179 US which is very considering the RTX 3050 retails for over $220 US and the same is the case with the RX 6600 series.
Now it should be worth pointing out that the Intel Arc A750 is also currently on deal and can be found for $189.99 US which is just $10 US more than the Arc A580. These deals are specific to certain retailers but if you can find the A750 or A770 close to A580 pricing, then the former two are the better choices.
