Intel 14th Gen Raptor Lake Refresh Core i3 CPUs Will Stick To Quad-Cores As Per Leak

Intel isn't moving away from quad-core CPUs on its entry-level Core i3 lineup anytime soon according to the latest 14th Gen Raptor Lake Refresh leak.
The latest leak once again comes from our resident Twitter leaker, chi11eddog, who has posted updated specifications of the 14th Gen Raptor Lake-S Desktop CPU refresh lineup. These specs offer a follow-up to the ones revealed last week in which we got a taste of what the Non-K Core lineup in the 14th Gen family would look like.
So just as a recap, here's everything we can expect from Intel's 14th Gen Raptor Lake Refresh Desktop CPUs:
More info of 14th Gen non-K. ????????????i9-14900/F (8+16),L3 36MB,up to 5.8GHzi7-14700/F (8+12),L3 33MB, up to 5.4GHzi5-14600 (6+8), L3 24MB, up to 5.2GHzi5-14500 (6+8), L3 24MB, up to 5.0GHzi5-14400/F (6+4) , L3 20MB, up to 4.7GHzi3-14100/F (4+0), L3 12MB, up to 4.7GHz

Intel Core i9-14900K CPU Specifications
Starting with the flagship, we have the Intel Core i9-14900K CPU which will feature 16 cores & 32 threads in a 8+16 configuration. The CPU will feature up to 36 MB of Smart Cache and a base TDP of 125W (253W PL2). It will feature clock speeds of 3.2 GHz at the base and up to 6.0 GHz with Thermal Velocity Boost. These frequencies are currently for the pre-QS stage so we might see the rumored 6.2 GHz on either this chip or a "KS" variant later down the road. Regardless, this will be a +200 MHz frequency jump over the Core i9-13900K and the same as the Core i9-13900KS.
Intel Core i7-14700K CPU Specifications
For the Core i7-14700K, Intel will be utilizing its 8+12 core configuration which offers 20 cores and 28 threads. This will be a nice upgrade over the existing Core i7-13700K which offers an 8+8 core configuration, allowing for a nice boost to multi-threading performance thanks to those extra E-Cores. The CPU will offer 33 MB of smart cache (vs 30 MB) and feature clock speeds of 3.4 GHz at the base and up to 5.6 GHz with TBMT3. That's also a +200 MHz boost over the 13700K & we can see performance uplifts of around 5-10% from this particular SKU.
Intel Core i5-14600K CPU Specifications
Lastly, we have the Intel Core i5-14600K which unfortunately isn't using an 8+8 configuration as the rumors had told but rather a 6+8 which is the same as the Core i5-13600K. The cache and TDP will remain the same but the clock speeds will see a +200 MHz to 5.3 GHz, offering up to a 5% boost in performance over its predecessor.
Intel 14th Gen Raptor Lake Refresh Non-K Desktop Lineup Specs
For the Non-K lineup, leaker, chi11eddog has revealed specs of at least five SKUs which include the Core i9-14900, Core i7-14700, Core i5-14600, Core i5-14500, & the Core i5-14400. All chips are 65W designs and besides the Core i5-14400, all share the same specs as the "K" SKUs. The base & boost clocks are mentioned but the Core i5-14400 features a 6+4 configuration which means there's a total of 10 cores and 16 threads. Just like the last gen, the 14th gen will not have any "F" variants of Core i5-14600 or Core i5-14500.
The impressive part is that the 65W CPUs will feature some nice clock speeds with the i9-14900 doing up to 5.8 GHz which is quite the boost and also the same +200 MHz speed bump as its K sibling.
As for the Intel Core i3 SKUs, only one variant has been listed, the Core i3-14100/F and it seems to feature 4 cores and 8 threads with 12 MB of L3 cache and boost clocks of up to 4.7 GHz. Now these specs might seem like a letdown compared to the hexacore rumors that we heard earlier but that's the thing. Rumors should be taken with a grain of salt and nothing's confirmed until either pointed out officially or revealed by more credible sources. The full specs can be seen in the table below:
Intel is reported to retain the same prices for the 14th gen CPUs as the 13th Gen lineup but we've heard that the company aims to increase the prices of its chips soon so whether the current prices will be used for the Raptor Lake Refresh series or the newer hiked prices remains to be seen.
The Intel Raptor Lake-S Refresh Desktop CPU lineup will be supported on the existing LGA 1700 socketed motherboards within the 600 and 700-series lineup and launches in October 2023. The company has an Innovation event planned for 19th September so we can expect more details then.
