G.Skill’s Upcoming 48 GB DDR5-6000 Trident Z5 Memory Kit Spotted With AMD EXPO Support

G.Skill is preparing brand new AMD EXPO memory kits under its Trident Z5 lineup which will feature 48 GB DDR5-6000 modules.
In pictures posted by MEGAsizeGPU, we can see that G.Skill is preparing its new AMD EXPO Non-Binary series memory kits utilizing the DDR5 standard. The company already released its first 24 and 48 GB Non-Binary memory kits for Intel's XMP platforms back in March and will now focus its efforts on the AMD EXPO platform.
The specific G.Skill kit pictured is the F5-6000J4048F24GX2-TZ5NR which hasn't been announced yet. This kit features DDR5-6000 specs and is part of the Trident Z5 NEO RGB lineup with CAS timings of CL40-48-48-96 at 1.35V. This is a 48 GB kit and comprises two 24 GB modules. The rest of the design is similar to the existing Trident Z5 modules with a black or silver heatsink featuring an extended heatsink and the RGB diffuser at the top. G.Skill is working on its brand new Trident Z5 Royal and Royal Elite series too which we spotted back at Computex 203.
As proof to showcase that the memory modules were indeed working on an AMD platform, the ASUS ROG STRIX B650-E Gaming WIFI A motherboard was used which was running the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU. The CPU-z screenshot was shared and we can see that the G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO RGB 24 GB x 2 memory kit is indeed working on the platform.
AMD also has a new AGESA 1.0.9.0 BIOS rolling out soon which will address some of the memory compatibility issues faced on older AGESA 1.0.0.7 and 1.0.7.0 BIOS firmware. The new BIOS is expected to launch in August and we'll have more information to share with you in the coming days.
As for the pricing and availability of the G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO RGB "AMD EXPO" Non-Binard kits, the memory modules will cost extra versus the existing 16 and 32 GB modules but they are great for users who want to expand memory capacities up to 192 GB.
