Gigabyte has unveiled its next-generation Intel Z890 motherboard lineup which comes ready with support for Arrow Lake Desktop CPUs.

At Computex, Gigabyte is showcasing at least five new motherboard designs based on the Z890 chipset and featuring the LGA 1851 socket. These motherboards come with support for Intel's Arrow Lake Desktop CPUs which will debut sometime in Q4 2024 but it looks like motherboard vendors are eager to share their new designs which look almost ready for a retail launch. Let us take a look at what Gigabyte has to offer.

Starting at the very top, we have the Z890 AORUS Tachyon ICE motherboard which comes with a dual DDR5 DIMM design and has a range of cool features for overclockers and enthusiasts. The whole white layout with the icy touch is also looking great and the I/O faceplate can be removed to unveil a nice AORUS mascot underneath. The CPU socket is inverted 90 degrees and all the OC goodies such as switches, buttons, and voltage read points are available. As far as I/O goes, the motherboard makes use of four PCIe Gen 5 M.2 slots and two PCIe Gen 5.0 x16 slots. It is powered by a dual 8-pin connector configuration.

Next up, we have the high-end Gigabyte Z890 AORUS Master motherboard which comes with a black and silver aesthetic this motherboard resembles a lot like the previous Z790 Master but with the obvious upgrade to the LGA 1851 socket and the new Z890 PCH. The motherboard has a large Gen 5 M.2 SSD heatsink and supports speeds north of DDR5-9000. The motherboard has three PCIe Gen 5.0 x16 slots and houses three additional M.2 slots underneath the PCB cover. I/O is also quite extensive on this motherboard with features such as WIFI7 and Thunderbolt 4 support.

Gigabyte also has a Mini-ITX offering based on the Z890 chipset, the Z890I AORUS Ultra that comes with a dual DDR5 DIMM design, a large heatsink for a single Gen 5.0 M.2 SSD, and a very high-end heatsink design that makes use of heat pipe cooling. The motherboard houses an additional M.2 slot on the back and there's a single PCIe 5.0 x16 slot along with the Gigabyte quick-release slot feature which is standard across all Gigabyte motherboards.

Other motherboards within the Gigabyte Z890 lineup include the AORUS ELITE WIFI7, the AORUS ELITE X ICE, & the AERO G. Gigabyte isn't sharing details on pricing right now but expect them to be priced closer to their predecessors. With that said, stay tuned for more information on the Intel Arrow Lake & Z890 motherboard plan as Intel will be announcing new details tomorrow during its Computex 2024 keynote.
