Gigabyte Joins The Likes of MSI & ASUS In Extending QD-OLED Monitor Warranties

Gigabyte has joined the trend of extending QD-OLED monitor warranties as the firm announces an "extensive" three-year warranty period for its entire lineup.
The monitor industry woke up and decided to extend warranties on their OLED gaming monitors, with ASUS & MSI extending them for up to three years. Joining the trend, Gigabyte has also announced a warranty extension to provide its customers with a "piece of mind" and ensure excellent service to them as well. Here is how Gigabyte describes the revision:
In a commitment to delivering unparalleled customer satisfaction and product reliability, GIGABYTE, the world's leading computer brand, is thrilled to announce an updated 3-year warranty for its entire lineup of QD OLED gaming monitors, including the CO49DQ, FO32U2P, FO32U2, FO27Q3, MO34WQC, and MO34WQC2 models. This enhanced warranty coverage underscores GIGABYTE's confidence in the durability and performance of its cutting-edge gaming monitors.
The extended 3-year warranty aims to provide users with peace of mind and protection against potential panel image retention issues, ensuring a flawless gaming and entertainment experience over a longer period. GIGABYTE is dedicated to offering not only state-of-the-art technology but also robust support and service to its customers.

We have explained the reason behind such warranty extensions, but as the OLED markets have started to grow in recent times, firms are aware of the drawbacks associated with the technology as well, which is why they have decided to take pro-customer measures. OLED pixels consist of organic materials that emit light when subjected to an electric current. Uneven pixel usage leads to the degradation of these organic materials, resulting in luminance imbalances, and ultimately, due to consumer neglect, this issue goes unnoticed in some scenarios, resulting in burn-in incidents.
It is great to see firms like Gigabyte, ASUS, and MSI extending their monitor warranties since this shows how active the companies are in delivering the best services to their customers.
