EVGA Quitting PC Business? Rumors Allege That All Employees Including KINGPIN Have Resigned From Taiwan HQ
EVGA possibly feeling the hit from mistakes from 2021, making financial changes for 2022 to help adjust for losses

Well-known PC hardware manufacturer, EVGA, seems to be quitting the PC business as reports cite that all employees have resigned.

Update #2: EVGA has confirmed that they are still very much in the PC buisness and none of their employees (including KINGPIN) has resigned.

Update #1: EVGA Spain has responded to TechpowerUp and it looks like the company is still active there, stating that "It's just another day at the office".

Original Story: EVGA is a huge and legendary brand who have made some of the most iconic PC hardware for the tech community. The company is widely known for its GPUs and motherboards and the company has also extended its strengths within other components such as PSUs, coolers, & even cases. But it seems like all good things come to an end eventually and that's what's happening with EVGA.

Last year in September, EVGA made a shocker of an announcement when it decided to quit the GPU business. The GPU division was considered to be the legs of the company, offering various options to customers and being one of the top brands within the US. The company also did not offer any new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series cards and while there were prototypes of such cards, the RTX 30 series remained EVGA's last hurrah!

Now reports are rolling in from Korean forums, coolenjoy, where renowned overclocker, SAFEDISK, has stated that all of the EVGA Taiwan team has resigned which includes the company's in-house & masterful overclocker, KINGPIN (Vince Lucido). Currently, it cannot be said if there's a reshuffling of some sort going on at the company or if the company is entirely dismantling its PC business. The Korean overclocker believes that this was a long time coming and while rumors about the closure are circulating now, this is a case of fait accompli.

hello

We would like to inform you about EVGA

Currently, all EVGA Taiwan office employees have resigned (including Kingpin).

Closures seem to be becoming a fait accompli here.

I don't know what the warranty issue will be, but I hope EVGA users won't have any complaints about this issue.

I wonder what will happen in the future

We'll have to wait for EVGA's official announcement.

EVGA still had a large list of products on shelves and if EVGA is really shutting down business, then it will be interesting to see how the company manages its warranties. Just like the GPU business, it is likely that the company will continue to offer warranties to its customers as it did during the GPU business closure. So far, neither EVGA nor KINGPIN has made an official statement but this will be a major blow for the PC hardware industry.
