Erying Brings Intel Core i9-12900HK Laptop CPU On ITX Motherboards, Priced Under $300

Erying, the Chinese manufacturer equipping mobile chips to desktop motherboards, has introduced its first Intel Core i9-12900HK Mini-ITX design.
If you haven't heard about the company, Erying specializes in creating motherboards with pre-installed laptop CPUs. The company uses laptop "BGA" CPUs and fuses them on a wide variety of motherboards in mATX and ITX form factors, which are then positioned under a large IHS. Erying's previous offerings were only available in up to Core i7-12700H flavors.
Diving into the details, the Erying G660i Mini ITX features a similar design language to their previous motherboards. The G660i features Intel's i7-12800H and i9-12900HK processors. The motherboard has an ITX form factor with two PCIe 4.0 and one PCIe 3.0 M.2 slots. It comes with dual channel support and compatibility for DDR4 RAM; hence you can equip 64GB of memory.
The I/O interface includes 1x DisplayPort, 2x HDMI connections with support up to @4K60Hz quality, and a 1x VGA interface. The G660i includes 2x USB 3.2 ports and 4x USB 2.0 ports which are sufficient considering it is an ITX motherboard. The motherboard also comes with WiFi6 wireless network card slot, two RJ45 ports, and a 3-hole 6-channel audio port. Apart from the G660i, Erying has several other models listed in their official store at AliExpress.
The concept behind the motherboards by Erying is interesting since they provide good value. However, consumers may be disappointed that they can't make any changes to the processor included with the motherboard. Retail pricing for the G660i with the 12900HK is anticipated to be 2099 Yuan /USD 294.56, while the 12800H will be 1699 Yuan/USD 238.43. The motherboards are yet to be available globally, but technology like this never leaves China.
