Dell’s “Mega” Leak Confirms Next-Gen Laptop CPUs: Intel Panther Lake, Nova Lake, 2nd & 3rd Gen Snapdragon X Chips

A mega leak has occurred focusing on Dell's next-gen laptops which will incorporate Intel's Panther Lake, Nova Lake & upcoming Snapdragon X chips.
A document listing Dell's entire next-gen XPS product portfolio and product plans has leaked out which talks about several upcoming chips. The leak is quite significant and wasn't supposed to go public but it has spilled the beans on several upcoming laptop CPUs from Intel, Qualcomm & AMD. The roadmap shows the following release schedules for Dell's XPS lineup (not representative of the actual release timeframe of these chips):
Starting off first first the Intel lineup, the company first talks about the availability schedule of the next-gen Arrow Lake-U, Arrow Lake-P, and Arrow Lake-H chips. It looks like Lunar Lake-MX which is going to target thin and light designs will be heading out first. Lunar Lake will be branded under the "Core Ultra 200V" family and feature a total of 8 cores (4 P + 4 LP-E), Battlemage "Arc Xe2-LPG" GPU with 8 Xe-Cores, up to 32 GB LPDDR5X on-package memory and an NPU capable of over 100 AI TOPs (total accumulated).
Dell expects the first designs to be ready around late 2024 while Arrow Lake-U/P/H CPUs are going to hit shelves starting early 2025 (Q1). Although no exact model is listed, it looks like these chips are going to be offered with NVIDIA's latest Blackwell Gaming GPUs under the RTX 50 series. We know that Arrow Lake is going to scale from 2 P-Cores + 6 E-Cores to up to 8 P-Cores and 16 E-Cores with the latest Lion Cove and Skymont core architectures. The chips will also incorporate Alchemist and Alchemist+ Xe-LPG(+) iGPUs and feature enhanced NPU capabilities.
Next up, Intel will have Panther Lake ready for arrival in the first half of 2026 which will mainly be featuring the Panther Lake-H series and these will be accompanied by the refreshed Blackwell RTX 50 GPU lineup for laptops. Panther Lake is expected to feature the latest Cougar Cove P-Cores and Skymont E-Cores. Dell mentions a performance entry by mid-Q2 2026 and an XPS 14 variant with a 40W TDP around the same timeline. The company will also offer a refreshed Lunar Lake-MX SKU with a 20W TDP in 2026 under the XPS 13 design.
Lastly, Intel is expected to introduce Nova Lake as the next-generation offering which will be incorporated in 20W, 40W, and 80W TDP options. Dell is expected to launch an XPS 16 performance laptop in the first quarter of 2027.
Moving over to the Qualcomm Snapdragon X platforms, Dell seems to fully board the new platform with its first laptop debuting in the middle of the current year in both 10-core "PLUS" and 12-core "ELITE" offerings. Dell's roadmap also reveals that the company is well underway on its V2 2nd Gen and V3 3rd Gen Oryon-powered CPUs which are expected to debut by late 2025 and late 2027 if everything goes according to plans.
An AMD-powered XPS 16 laptop is also mentioned which will include a performance-tier variant though the details regarding which generation or family will be used are quite slim. The laptop is scheduled for a 2027 release so we can expect something like the Zen 6 or its successor to be the first laptop in over a decade to be featured on the XPS lineup from Dell.
The thing about this leak is that there's no conclusive idea of what the Dell XPS lineup might look like as this is just a roadmap followed by proposals of next-gen solutions. Given that Intel, AMD & Qualcomm can shift their product plans in the coming years, the roadmap can change a lot but it gives a perspective of what to expect in the coming year from one of the major OEMs in the tech industry.
