Crucial T705 Gen5 SSDs To Deliver The Highest Performance Yet: 14.5 GB/s In White & Black Heatsinks

Crucial is all set to unleash the world's fastest Gen5 SSDs to date, the T705 series, featuring insane speeds of up to 14.5 GB/s in white & black flavors.
The PCIe Gen5 SSD segment is starting to heat up with entrants from firms such as Sabrent and MSI, and now Crucial has stepped in to make things much more interesting. The new Crucial T705, which has been spotted by momomo_us, will feature flagship specifications, including a "dedicated" cooling mechanism, which comes with sleek aesthetics as well.
Diving into the crux, the Crucial T705 Gen5 SSDs will be sold in two different variants, a simple and a "Limited Edition" variant, with the latter featuring a white heatsink design, which indeed looks a delight to see. They will come with different storage configurations, with 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB options to provide consumers with an extensive list of choices.
Moving onto the interesting part, the Crucial T705 Gen5 SSDs are expected to feature read speeds of up to 14,500 MB/s, which puts it right at the top of the list when it comes to comparing with existing offerings in the industry. Moreover, the SSD will come with 1.55 million IOPS of random read and 1.8 million IOPS of random write as well, which makes it a great option considering the generational improvements.
That's a hefty improvement compared to Crucial's very own T700 Gen5 SSDs which we tested a while back and should be making use of the new Phison E26 max14um controller which enables these hyper-fast storage capabilities. It is important to note that Crucial hasn't officially listed this SSD, hence we could see some changes in the final specifications but it is doubtful to happen. There are some missing details such as DRAM cache specifics, but we could expect them to surface in the future.
