Colorful Unveils iGame Z790D5 FLOW, An All White Motherboard For Less Than $300 & DDR5-8000+ Support

Colorful has unveiled its high-end iGame Z790D5 FLOW motherboard, boasting an all-white color scheme and top-notch specs at a great price.

It can be said that this particular entry in Colorful's motherboard lineup can be regarded as a "premium" one, due to its overall build quality, along with the features it comes with. Starting with the onboard specifications, the iGame Z790D5 FLOW features an 18+1+1 phase design, utilizing the 90A DR.MOS power stage for optimal power delivery. Power to the socket is provided by two 8-pin plugs.

Moving at memory and storage capacities, the Colorful iGame Z790D5 FLOW motherboard can support up to DDR5-8000+(OC) memory, which is superb for a motherboard of this price range. To put it into comparison, the memory support of Colorful's new motherboard matches with the likes of Gigabyte's Z790 Aorus Xtreme, and similar higher-end variants, which justifies that this is indeed a "premium" product. In terms of storage solutions, the motherboard comes with four  M.2 slots, which support up to PCIe 4.0 x 4. Expansion slots include a single PCIe 5.0 16 and two PCIe 4.0 x4 slots.

Coming to the motherboard's design, it has a white and grey color scheme running around, with abstract designs to cater to the overall look. Moreover, to enhance the general aesthetics, Colorful has included "strips" of decorative panels along the VRM heatsinks, which can be customized by users. It shows that the company is actually determined to innovate its motherboard designs, which have remained the same for quite some time now.

In terms of onboard connectivity, the iGame Z790D5 FLOW features support for Bluetooth 5.3 and WiFi 6E, along with a 2.5G Ethernet port. Colorful has officially listed the motherboard on Chinese platforms, starting at 1,999 yuan or around USD $270, which is really a decent price judging by what you are getting.
