Colorful Readies At Least 30 Intel 800-Series Motherboards, Include Z890, W880, B860 & H810 Models

Colorful's Intel 800-series motherboards will include at least 30 new designs based around the Z890, W880, B860 & H810 chipsets.
When it comes to Intel's 800-series chipset family, Intel has kept the details under cover, but we did see several "Z890" motherboards during our visit to Computex, which confirmed that this is indeed the naming scheme of the upcoming chipset. Apart from that, vendors such as ASUS, MSI, AORUS / Gigabyte, Colorful, & Maxsun showcased some of their Z890 offerings as well, but the unveiling was confined to some SKUs. However, a new leak has given us complete details on Colorful's next-gen motherboard lineup, specifically the "800-series" models.
The details come from an EEC listing, which has disclosed that Colorful plans to release thirty motherboards for Intel's upcoming chipset, with models varying from high-end to the budget segment. Starting with the Z890, there are 11 models, including the Z890 iGame Ultra, which we already provided a glimpse of in our Computex coverage.
Besides the high-end Intel Z890 offerings, Colorful plans to release new variants under the newer "W880" and "B860" chipset types. Interestingly, the W880 chipset hasn't been mentioned before in the books, so it's likely to be an advanced version of the W680, which is a workstation-oriented chipset with features designed for professional work. Along with the W880, we'll see the debut of B860 motherboards from Colorful as well, which will be the mainstream offerings by companies if you would like to opt for the budget segment well, the firm has planned the H810 chipset lineup as well.
Well, that's it from Colorful's end for now. The firm's Intel 800-series lineup is well-decorated and includes new models, making their offerings more attractive. In terms of the release date, Intel's upcoming motherboards will target the next-gen Arrow Lake-S Desktop CPU release, which is expected by October; hence, you can expect these SKUs to be released at a similar time frame.
