Biostar has showcased its next-gen offerings in the Intel Z890 and AMD X870E range of motherboards which will be supporting Arrow Lake and Ryzen 9000 CPUs.

Biostar has been making their Valkyrie motherboard for high-end PCs for a while now and both their next-gen Intel and AMD options are getting the treatment soon. The motherboard manufacturer gave us a first look at their next-gen designs at Computex so let's get into the details.

Starting with the Biostar Z890 Valkyrie motherboard, you are getting the LGA 1851 socket for Intel Arrow Lake Desktop CPU support along with a 23-phase VRM design, four DDR5 DIMM slots, 3 PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, and 6 M.2 slots (1 Gen5, 5 Gen4), 1 Type-C USB4 port & WIFI 7 support.

The motherboard is an ATX design with dual 8-pin connectors along with a brand-new design that features an all-black design with a range of color palettes and some hints of RGB such as the wings logo over the PCH.

The second motherboard is the Biostar X870E Valkyrie which features 22 power phases and has an all solid-cap design. The motherboard also features three PCIe slots (x16, x8, x4), 4 M.2 (1 Gen5, 3 Gen4) ports, and dual USB4 Type-C ports. There's also the 2.5 GbE LAN port and WIFI 7.0 support. The motherboard also has a dual BIOS design and comes with a few nifty switches on the PCB such as Reset/Power along with the LED for DEBUG.

The last motherboard is another Z890-A Silver motherboard from BIOSTAR which has a nice silverfish PCB touch with a white-colored PCB. The motherboard has a 15-phase power design but with some limited capabilities to conserve the cost of these products. There are four M.2 slots out of which one is Gen5 and three Gen4 slots, 1 single PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, and a single PCIe 4.0x4 slot. There are no USB4 ports on this motherboard but there are USB 3.2 Gen2/1 capabilities along with Realtek ALC1220 CODEC. There are also four 5V ARGB and a single 12V RGB connector on this motherboard.
