ASRock Industrial has announced the launch of its new NUCS & NUC Ultra 100 BOX Mini PCs that come equipped with Intel Core Ultra "Meteor Lake" CPUs.

The ASRock Industrial NUCS & NUC Ultra 100 BOX Mini PC series comes just a few days after the reveal of the company's 4x4 Mini PCs based on the AMD Ryzen 8040 APUs. The new Mini PCs are coming in two flavors, a standard NUC Ultra 100 BOX and a slimmer NUCS Ultra 100 BOX series. Both Mini PCs are equipped with Intel's latest Core Ultra "Meteor Lake" CPUs featuring up to 16 cores and 22 threads.

  • The four SKUs include the NUCS BOX-155H/125H and the NUC BOX-155H/125H. The naming makes it clear that these are based on the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H and Core Ultra 5 125H CPUs. The former comes with 16 cores & 22 threads while the latter is equipped with 14 cores and 20 threads. Other specs include support for up to 96 GB SO-DIMM modules rated at up to DDR5-5600 speeds, a total of three M.2 slots (two Gen4 + 1 Key E for WIFI), and a solid IO offering.

    The Intel Core Ultra 7 155H CPU features 16 cores in a 6+8+2 configuration, 22 threads, a base clock of 3.8 GHz a boost clock of up to 4.8 GHz, 24 MB of L3 cache, and a 28W TDP. Meanwhile, Intel's Core Ultra 5 125H offers up to 14 cores, 18 threads, up to 4.50 GHz boost clocks, & 18 MB total of L3 cache.

    The Intel Core Ultra 5 125H CPU is based on the Intel 4 process node and features a 14-core design that comprises 4 P-Cores, 8 E-Cores, and 2 LP E-Cores. The chip has 18 threads, a 3.6 GHz base clock, and a 4.5 GHz boost clock. It carries 20 MB of cache & it will be configured at a 28W TDP. The CPU also houses the Intel Arc Xe-LPG integrated graphics with 7 Xe-Cores whereas the 155H comes with the 8 Xe-Core variant.

  • The NUC Ultra 100 BOX series includes 1 USB4/TB4 port, 4 USB 3.2 Gen2 ports (3 x Type-A + 1 x Type-C), dual 2.5 GbE LAN port, a DC jack, an internal SATA III port (6 Gb/s), WIFI 6E + BT 5.3 & a Realtek ALC256 Codec for audio. There are also HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1 connectors supporting up to 4K 60Hz resolutions and you can run a quad-display multi-monitor setup out of this Mini PC. Power is provided through a 120W (Core Ultra 7) or 90W (Core Ultra 5) adapter.

    ASRock Industrial hasn't shared the pricing or availability of its NUC & NUCS Ultra 100 Box Mini PC series but they are expected to enter retail gradually as more Intel Core Ultra "Meteor Lake" PCs hit the market.
