The Antec GSK850 is upgraded with the latest 12V-2x6 connector and is scheduled for sale for ¥23,880 in Japan.

Antec's latest PSU was recently spotted on a Japanese retail website. It is the Antec GSK850, an updated power supply unit offering PCI-E 5.1 and ATX 3.1 compliance for high-end GPUs. Thanks to X user @momomo_us, we can see that the PSU is listed on Yodobashi for pre-order in Japan.

It is priced at ¥23,880, roughly equivalent to US$162, and is available for purchase. However, the delivery will start later, starting on 7th September 2024. Per the product sales page, the GSK850 will be available nationwide with free delivery. Its 750W edition is also available for pre-orders and is priced at ¥20,580 or US$140.

The Antec GSK850 comes with an 850-watt capacity and is fully modular in design. It comes with multiple flat cables, including the latest PCI-E 5.1 complaint power cable for the latest high-end RTX 40 series NVIDIA cards. As the PSU also features ATX 3.1 compliance, the new 12V-2x6 connector will help secure the connection properly to prevent any connector melting issues.

The PSU uses high-quality Japanese capacitors for better reliability, tight voltage regulation, and minimal ripple, offering great stability for modern PC builds. Furthermore, the PSU has several heavy-duty protection features including OCP, OVP, UVP, SCP, OPP, OTOP, SIP, and NLO for protecting your components from faulty currents and voltages.

The PSU measures 140 x 150 x 86mm, making it ideal for compact systems, and has a 120mm silent fan for effective heat dissipation. Users can enable the Zero RPM fan mode for even quieter operation when the load is low. The GSK850 is an 80-Plus Gold-rated unit, ensuring power efficiency of up to 90% on typical loads while minimizing heat generation.

At the moment, compact PC builds need compact PSUs with higher capacity power supplies like the Antec GSK850, which also provides full PCI-E 5.1 and ATX 3.1 compliance to ensure reliable operation and adequate power supply to the components. Antec is providing a 7-year warranty period for both GSK850 and GSK750 power supply units, which is on par with mid-range PSUs from other makers.
