While we are still months away from the launch of the Ryzen 7000 CPUs, AMD's existing Ryzen 5000 family has got some really impressive price cuts. High-end chips such as the Ryzen 9 5950X and the Ryzen 9 5900X are now available at up to $250 US discounts at various retailers.

AMD is taking steps to ensure that its AM4 platform can still grow in terms of market share. So far, the red team has launched several mainstream Ryzen 5000 and Ryzen 4000 Desktop CPU options, will soon be introducing its fastest gaming chip yet, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D and it looks like retailers have been directed to offer huge discounts on the existing Ryzen 5000 CPUs.

It can be seen on various US-based outlets that the flagship AMD Ryzen 9 5950X which had an MSRP of $799 US can now be purchased for $520 US. This is an absolutely fantastic deal for a processor that rocks 16 Zen 3 cores & slightly cheaper than Intel's Core i9-12900K. The Ryzen 9 5900X is also seeing a major price drop of $370 US from its launch MSRP of $599 US.

Meanwhile, the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X can be bought for $322 US which is a $128 US drop from its MSRP. The chip was also seen available for $299 US which is around the same pricing as the Intel Core i5-12600K. As for the Ryzen 5 5600X, it is currently going for as low as $209.99 US which is the same pricing as the Intel Core i5-12400. For users who haven't upgraded from their older Ryzen CPUs on the AM4 platform, these new prices provide an incentive to upgrade given the massive performance boost that Zen 3 brought to the table.
