AMD Ryzen 9000 “Zen 5” Desktop CPU Prices Spotted In New Retail Listing: 9900X €400, 9700X €318, 9600X €249

AMD Ryzen 9000 "Zen 5" Desktop CPU Prices Confirmed: 9950X $599, 9900X $449, 9700X $359, 9600X $279 1

New prices of AMD's Ryzen 9000 "Zen 5" Desktop CPUs including the 9900X, 9700X & 9600X have been exposed through a retail listing.

We have covered various "preliminary" retail listings of the AMD Ryzen 9000 "Zen 5" Desktop CPUs and all seem to indicate better price points than the MSRPs of the "Zen 4" based Ryzen 7000 CPUs. The latest listings come from European retailer, Azerty, a major outlet for Netherlands & Belgium.

The retailer listed three AMD Ryzen 9000 "Zen 5" Desktop CPUs for a brief period after which the listings were removed when the retailer found out that they were probably breaking the embargo for the chips which is to not disclose any pricing information before the 31st July release date. The three chips include the Ryzen 9 9900X, Ryzen 7 9700X, and the Ryzen 5 9600X.

The prices listed by the retailer include a VAT of 21% so let's start with what they are being offered at. The AMD Ryzen 9 9900X is listed at €484.14 (€400 without VAT). The Ryzen 7 9700X is listed at €385.33 (€318 without VAT) and the Ryzen 5 9600X is listed at €301.37 (€249 without VAT). These are higher prices than the predecessors which are due to the heavy discounts we've seen on the Ryzen 7000 series and they compare as below:

Ryzen 9 9900X - €484.14 / Ryzen 9 7900X - €378

Ryzen 7 9700X - €385.33 / Ryzen 7 7700X - €298

Ryzen 5 9600X - €301.37 / Ryzen 5 7600X - €208

After the price conversation to US currency, we get the following prices for each chip:

Ryzen 9 9900X - $433.59 US (7900X $549 US MSRP)

Ryzen 7 9700X - $344.70 US (7700X $399 US MSRP)

Ryzen 5 9600X - $269.91 US (7600X $299 US MSRP)

Surely the AMD Ryzen 7000 "Zen 4" Desktop CPUs will offer better value due to the discounts we just mentioned above but besides that, it looks like AMD Ryzen 9000 "Zen 5" Desktop CPUs will be dropping in on the retail shelves at lower price points than what its predecessor went by for. Just like previous listings, we want to put out a cautionary note that these are preliminary listings and may not reflect the official MSRP which can be changed even during the launch day itself.
