AMD Ryzen 8000G APUs See Massive Price Cuts: Up To 34% Drop Versus MSRP

AMD's Ryzen 8000G APUs are getting some big price cuts across the globe with up to 34% drops at certain retailers.
AMD's Ryzen 8000G APUs launched earlier this year and brought the Zen 4 and RDNA 3 combo to the desktop AM5 platform.
The Hawk Point APUs launched in various SKUs ranging from standard to PRO variants but it looks like they have received some big price drops over a few months which could be attributed to the upcoming Ryzen 9000 "Zen 5" Desktop CPU release or that the red team just wants to ensure that these APUs are priced better than their original MSRPs so that AM5 consumers can get the most value out of the platform.
The AMD Ryzen 8000G APUs have already been slashed quite a bit in the US marketplaces with the Ryzen 7 8700G available for as low as $270 US, the Ryzen 5 8600G available for as low as $152 US & the Ryzen 5 8500G available for as low as $140 US. In Europe, the prices have also taken a rather significant hit with the AMD Ryzen 7 8700G now retailing for as low as €263.80, the Ryzen 5 8600G for €189.65, and the Ryzen 5 8500G for €143.03. That's a price drop of up to -28% compared to the official MSRP in EU market and up to a -34% drop in the US market.

The AMD Ryzen 7000 and Ryzen 8000 CPUs are expected to see even bigger discounts later this month once the Ryzen 9000 "Zen 5" Desktop CPUs finally hit the retail segment. Early retail and price listings show that the Ryzen 9000 CPUs will be very attractive, especially on the higher-end SKUs so that will put pressure on retailers to further drop the prices of existing chips.
