AMD is reportedly going to push back the launch of its upcoming Radeon RX 7600 XT 16 GB GPU in China as it tries to avoid a clash between its lineup.

Benchlife has disclosed that AMD might not initially release the upcoming Radeon RX 7600 XT "RDNA 3" GPU in China since it is directly competing with the "exclusive" Radeon RX 6750 GRE. To avoid potential confusion amongst consumers and ensure a competitive entry into the markets, AMD could either delay the launch of the Radeon RX 7600 XT or not release it at all. It certainly doesn't mean that Chinese markets won't see the "last RDNA 3" GPU being sold in the region, but the release date isn't certain yet.

The source also mentioned that the Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB is not currently sold in China. The main reason is that AMD’s most cost-effective product in the Chinese market at this stage is the Radeon RX 6750 GRE. Therefore, as a graphics card chip design brand that understands gamers, it has decided to postpone the 7600 XT 16GB was launched in the Chinese market, but the final launch time of Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB is still unclear.

The move by AMD could be the right one because leaks up till now have indicated that the Radeon RX 7600 XT might just be a slightly upgraded version of the RX 7600 with twice the VRAM while the AMD Radeon RX 6750 GRE series offer a whole lot of performance for around 2000 RMB.

It is reported that the AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT GPU will feature 16 GB of GDDR6 VRAM which will be twice as much as the RX 7600 Non-XT, and this was validated by a Gigabyte listing as well. Hence in terms of the expected pricing, we could see the GPU launch within the US $300 price segment, which is similar to what the Radeon RX 6750 GRE is available at.

Moreover, the AMD Radeon RX 6750 GRE GPU variants are also highly popular amongst Chinese consumers, hence it would be in the company's best interest to prevent its consumers from getting distracted by current-gen launches. Just recently, Sapphire has launched a new "Black Diamond" variant of the Radeon RX 6750 GRE, offering some great performance at a highly competitive price versus the likes of NVIDIA's RTX 4060 series and even AMD's own RX 7600. The card is up to 50% faster than the RTX 4060 in certain games which is huge.

It is important to note that this is just a rumor for now, and we still await official confirmation, to conclude everything.
