AMD Once Again Highlights VRAM Advantage of Radeon GPUs Over GeForce, 16 GB Starting At $499

This month, AMD has highlighted the VRAM advantage and value of its Radeon GPUs over GeForce GPUs twice, saying that they offer up to 16 GB memory with a starting price of just $499 US.
As per AMD's Senior Director of Gaming Marketing, Sansa Marinkovic, the AMD Radeon RX 7000 and the RX 6000 GPUs offer more VRAM at a better value than the competition. AMD says that its Radeon 16 GB experience starts at a price of $499 US whereas NVIDIA's 16 GB experience starts at $1199 US.
If we begin the comparison, we can see that the AMD Radeon RX 6800 16 GB graphics card starts at $499 US and offers twice the memory, and better performance & retails at a $50 US lower average price compared to the RTX 3070. The card is also cheaper than the RTX 4070 12 GB which starts at $599 US. Compared to that, the Radeon RX 6800 XT 16 GB can be found close to $550-$579 US and the RX 6950 XT 16 GB has a retail listing of around $649 US and was even on sale for $599 US which is an amazing price.
In the high-end segment, the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT costs around $50 US more than the RTX 4070 Ti and even saw some deals which brought it close to the same MSRP as the 4070 Ti and is offering 8 GB higher VRAM. The RTX 7900 XTX at $999 US offers 24 GB VRAM whereas NVIDIA's RTX 4080 ships with 16 GB VRAM at a price of $1200 US and the only 24 GB cards from NVIDIA this gen is the flagship RTX 4090 which has a totally different pricing tier of $1600 US (MSRP). This card is a whole different beast and AMD themselves are aware that nothing comes close to it.
While AMD is correct that they offer more VRAM per segment at a far better value, it should be remembered that they aren't the cheapest 16 GB options around. That crown goes to Intel's Arc A770 16 GB which retails close to $350 US, a $150 US difference. The performance of the card is not comparable to the RX 6800 but that's why it is priced lower. The addition of higher VRAM is a great thing considering the recent PC ports which have been super unoptimized and require the extra VRAM to run properly without leading to memory leak issues.
Star Wars Jedi Survivor is just one recent example that is experiencing a lot of issues on the PC platform. It is an AMD-sponsored title and all camps, Intel, NVIDIA, and AMD, are running into issues while playing the game. It is also why it is being rated negatively by gamers on Steam. The developers have issued an apology to PC players but this has been going on for a while with PC ports which are getting 2nd hand treatment and require months of patches to work in a playable state. We hope that this changes and developers actually put some time and effort into PC titles since gamers are paying thousands of dollars for top-tier hardware yet facing various issues and performance loss.
