Alienware has launched its AW2725QF gaming monitor, a high-end 27" design with dual resolution modes which is now available for $599 US.
Alienware, the sub-brand of Dell has announced a brand new enthusiast-grade 27-inch gaming monitor, the AW2725QF. The AW2725QF brings dual resolution modes for enthusiast and professional gamers to choose their resolution and refresh rate according to their needs. The monitor can run on either 3840x2160p resolution at 180Hz or 1920x1080p at 360Hz, offering options for gamers with different tastes.
At 4K/180Hz mode, players can witness incredibly detailed images with a pixel density of 163 pixels per inch, best suited for open-world and visually-rich games. The 1080p/360Hz offers a balanced and competitive mode to the monitor to bring more fluidity and motion clarity, suitable for professional and veteran competitive gamers who love competitive matchmaking.
The monitor features an IPS panel boasting a true 10-bit color depth for displaying up to 1.07 billion colors. The typical contrast ratio is 1000:1 and the typical brightness is 400 nits with support for HDR to max out at 600 nits. The AW2725QF offers a wide color gamut of DCI-P3 95% with incredibly good color accuracy with Delta E < 2. This makes it ideal for both gaming and content creation. Through Dolby Vision and DisplayHDR 600 support, the display can display vivid details and with TUV-certified ComfortView Plus technology, gamers will be able to play for longer without hurting their eyes.
To ensure gamers can have an advantage over their opponents, the AW2725QF offers a very low response time of just 0.5ms GtG to transition quickly to the newer frames without introducing ghosting or blurring. Furthermore, the monitor is NVIDIA G-Sync compatible to reduce screen tearing for a more pleasant gaming experience.
Console users can also enhance their experience as the monitor offers a high-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 port that supports 4K resolution with up to 120Hz refresh rate. It is VRR and auto low latency capable as well, enabling responsive gaming for console players. In the connectivity area, the HDMI eARC port is available for connecting surround sound speakers and high-fidelity soundbars for a more immersive experience. Lastly, the monitor also comes with an ergonomic stand that supports height adjustment of up to 110mm, -5°/+21 Tilt, -20°/+20° Swivel, and -90°/+90° Pivot.
The Alienware AW2725QF gaming monitor officially launches today in China and will be available worldwide starting September 12, 24 at an MSRP of US $599.99.
