ADLINK Lets You Carry An NVIDIA RTX GPU In Your Pocket With Its Pocket AI Portable Solution

ADLINK recently revealed its Pocket AI external GPU solution that lets you carry an NVIDIA RTX GPU inside your pocket.
ADLINK, revealed the Pocket AI GPU accelerator a few days ago. This new device from ADLINK is the first portable GPU accelerator in a super small form factor to deliver decent graphics and AI power at a cost-friendly price. The company anticipates Pocket AI to assist in boosting performance and productivity for students, developers, and more. The Pocket AI offers a plug-and-play capability that allows users to develop and deploy AI applications and also provides creators with embedded graphics for art-based applications.
Some of the features include:
ADLINK assures users will receive GPU acceleration for less than the cost of an equally powerful laptop with the same GPU power. The Pocket AI utilizes the NVIDIA RTX A500 GPU, which is backed by NVIDIA CUDA X and includes accelerated libraries and compatibility with the support of NVIDIA's wealth of developer tools. The Pocket AI delivers 100+ TOPs dense INT8 and is aimed at Windows and Linux (x86) users.
For connectivity, the Pocket AI offers to deliver power and additional connectivity through its Thunderbolt 3 port and USB PD (Power Delivery) port. The Pocket AI is compact, weighs 250 grams, and measures 106 x 72 x 25mm.
ADLINK knows that users will not choose the Pocket AI for gaming but for SFF scalability on the go with its NVIDIA A500 embedded graphics for tasks such as AI development for students and users that are getting their feet wet with artificial intelligence, but also offer something for seasoned developers needing something cost-effective to develop tomorrow's technology and concepts. ADLINK also hopes that graphic designers will find the Pocket AI useful for 2D illustration, 3D content through CAD, and accelerated video processing.
Enterprises can use the Pocket AI to utilize 3D rendering and AI image processing, with its scalable performance and sensor fusion pairing that can easily sit on a desktop. One use case scenario is medical imaging and augmented reality, which is currently in increased demand but in a more diminutive form than larger laptops and for a fraction of the cost.
The Pocket AI by ADLINK was revealed during NVIDIA's GTC global AI conference and will be available for pre-order later this month. Pricing is still unknown, but the company anticipates shipping out units beginning June 2023.
